The GOP Race Heats Up: The Policy & Practice Podcast

With primary election season officially underway, Republican candidates for president are tirelessly campaigning across the country to win the hearts and votes of the American people.

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney narrowly took the first victory in the Iowa caucus, beating out Rick Santorum  by merely 8 votes. Mr. Romney could get a boost in the next primary in New Hampshire after winning the endorsement of Sen. John McCain. Eyes will turn next to contests in South Carolina on Jan. 21 and Florida 10 days later.

Meanwhile Congress returns to Capitol Hill later this month to tackle a long list of health-related matters including the looming 27% Medicare physician fee cut, a debate in funding the Affordable Care Act, and the upcoming 2013 federal budget.

To hear more on the candidate's health care views and upcoming Congressional dealings, check out this weeks Policy & Practice Podcast.
